About Me

Hey👋, here is Wei-Mou Zhu (朱威谋) 😄

I obtained my PhD degree in Seismology from the Institute of Geology and Geophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IGGCAS) and University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS), supervised by Prof. Lianfeng Zhao.

During my PhD, I was awarded a scholarship under China Scholarship Council to pursue study as a visiting PhD student at the Department of Physics and Astronomy “Augusto Righi”, University of Bologna, supervised by Prof. Luca De Siena.

My PhD project includes the Multi-scale seismic attenuation imaging of the Anatolian Plateau and its implications on the mechanisms of plateau uplift, volcanic activities and colossal earthquakes. Currently my research focuses on Seismic Attenuation Imaging in the Western Part of the North Anatolian Fault Zone
